Abstract
This research aims to analyze the performance of the Wireless LAN network at SMAN 1 Tembilahan city using two evaluation methods, namely Quality of Service and Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability. The QoS method is used to measure the quality of network services with parameters such as throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss. Meanwhile, the RMA method is used to assess the reliability, ease of maintenance and availability of the network. The data in this study was collected through direct measurements at the location using special software to measure QoS parameters. The results of the QoS analysis show that the WLAN network at SMAN 1 Tembilahan Kota has value very good throughput. From the RMA side, this network has a good level of reliability, but network maintenance still requires further improvements to increase network availability. Based on the results of this research, several improvement steps are recommended to improve the performance of the WLAN network at SMAN 1 Tembilahan city, such as improving network infrastructure, training for IT staff, and implementing more effective maintenance procedures. By implementing these recommendations, it is hoped that WLAN network performance can improve, so that it can better support the teaching and learning process
