Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between student response variables on the abilities and teaching skills of lecturers and student learning outcomes in Critical Reading learning in the English Study Program FKIP UIR. The design in this study is correlational. The population in this study was third semester students at the English Study Program FKIP UIR. Sampling in this study used the Stratified Random Sampling technique, with a total sample of 37 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions. The research instrument trials were conducted on 37 students in grades A and B. Data analysis used regression and correlation analysis techniques, with independent sample test and linearity tests. The results of the hypothesis significance coefficient test were carried out by consulting Tcount = 1.475 with Ttable = 1.400. And the Sig value is 149 which is greater than 0.05 (149 > 0.05). This means that there is an influence between Student Responses to the Ability and Skills of Teaching Teachers on Student Learning Outcomes.
