Abstract
The researcher observed that students are less interested in reading Englishlanguage texts in the second grade at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru. Quantitative approach is the methodology employed by the researcher in this study with experiment design. Students in class XI of SMK PGRI Pekanbaru in the academic year 2022–2023 made up the population of this study. The sample for this research was 50 students consisting of 2 classes, namely class XI Computer and Network Engineering and XI Accounting. Five indicators are used by the researcher to determine how well students understand text presented as multiple-choice questions. Pre-test and pos-test were used as the instrument of this research. The 25 items on Paired sample t-test was used for decision making. The results showed that the alternative hypothesis was accepted with a significance value of 0.000 which means that there were significant differences in the use of E-comic strips learning media in biographical texts in class 11 SMK PGRI Pekanbaru.
