Abstract

Where there are so many youtube channel who publish free weekly videos for everyone. YouTube plays an important role in the world of education as technology which is part of students' lives can offer useful feedback, especially in facilitating, increasing knowledge and skills in learning English. This study aims to determine Students' Perceptions of using YouTube Media in Learning English at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 1 Tapung. This research design of this research is quantitative research. the sample were 35 students at the grade XI of SMAN 1 Tapung. the instrument this research is a questionnaire . the questionnaire consists of 15 statements and divided into 3 indicators . the result of questionnaire using the likert scale formula . The results of the study showed that most of the students had a positive attitude towards learning English by using YouTube as media. where most of the 74% of students agree that the use of YouTube media can increase students' understanding in learning to use YouTube media. besides that 84% of students strongly agree that the use of YouTube greatly facilitates students in understanding English learning material. then the majority of students 70% of students agreed to give a positive assessment of the use of YouTube media in learning English.
