Abstract
Instagram is one of the new advancements and developments in internet technology that is makes students more interested in gaining knowledge, especially about learning English. Most teacher are less using media learning in class. This causes learning material to tend to be relatively boring for students. So that students feel that using Instagram will be able makes fun learning activities. The purpose of this study is to find out what are students’ perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness in utilizing Instagram in learning English at SMKN 1 Bandar Sei Kijang. Then, knowing the students’ perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness adapted by Chuttur. The research was done under a descriptive and qualitative methodology. The researcher used a questionnaire as the research instrument to answer research questions. The participants of this research are consisting 34 of second-grade students at SMKN 1 Bandar Sei Kijang. The result of indicator ease of use is 77,01% and the indicator perceived usefulness is 72,42% with the average of two indicators is 74,72%. Which means it is in the high position of the interval. From the perspective of ease of use, most students also agree that Instagram is easy to use because the application and features provided are straightforward to understand and simple. Then, Instagram is simple to use has a clean interface, and is a good application to use in learning. This indicates that most respondents agree that the platform is useful in the teaching process since it is paperless and flexible. Moreover, the features available on social media Instagram is good.
