Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the Stock Price of Transportation Service companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange for the period 2014-2016. Variables used include: Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Earning Per Share as independent variables and Stock Prices as the dependent variable.The population in this study is a sea transportation service company registered in the Indonesia stock exchange for the period 2014-2016, which amounted to 23 companies. Samples taken using purposive sampling technique and obtained 16 sea transportation services companies. This research tool uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously CR, DER, and EPS simultaneously have a significant effect on stock prices. Partially the CR and EPS variables have a negative and not significant effect on stock prices, the DER variable has a positive and significant effect on stock prices. Current ratio variables, debt to equity ratio, and earnings per share can explain the stock price of 0.394 or 39.4% while 60.6% is explained by other variables outside the model.
