Abstract
Housing development should be accompanied by the provision of PSUs based on the provisions set by the government to create comfort for residents with a good housing environment. Housing environmental quality refers to the extent to which the environment in which an individual or a family lives includes physical, social, and environmental aspects that affect comfort, health, security, and quality of life. Primadona Serumpun II housing has quality environmental conditions that still belong poorly can be seen from still lack of facilities, facilities and utilities housing based on the characteristics of housing. This research aims to determine the quality of the housing environment based on the characteristics of housing. Research results It is known that the socio-economic characteristics of the population in Primadon Residential Serumpun II have a high level of education dominated by the graduation of Diploma/Strara-1 with a presentation of 40.47% and the lowest dominated the education that did not graduate from school with the presentation of 4.78%. On the type of job, it is known that Primadona Serumpun II Housing community is dominated by workers like PNS with a presentation of 33.33%. Further on the income rate it is well known that the community in Primadone Serumpon II housing has income dominated to the category quite able with a value of 48.80%, less able 23.80%, while the category is able to 27.38%. The quality of the environment with respect to the characteristics of the housing located in the Primadona Serumpun II housing area is in the category of environmental quality with an achievement of an average value of 87.60%. This is supported by the fulfilment of housing characteristics based on the criteria of the community in the primadona serumpun II housing.
