Abstract

The rapid population growth has led to an increase in housing demand. The increase in population and the demand for housing, coupled with the lack of available land for residential use, has led to a rise in land and housing prices. The high prices of houses pose a barrier for low-income communities in realizing their dreams of homeownership. Therefore, there is a need for alternative solutions to achieve the development of livable residential environments through subsidized housing programs aimed at low-income households. This research aims to determine the feasibility level of housing for lowincome communities (MBR) in the Tualang Regency housing. The research approach is deductive, utilizing evaluative research types and qualitative descriptive methods, measured using a Likert scale to assess the housing feasibility level. The research measurement tools consist of questionnaires, field observations, and interviews. The research results indicate that the housing feasibility level is at an average of 83%, which means that the housing conditions related to the physical state of the buildings and infrastructure at the housing location fall into the very feasible category. The results of this assessment are obtained from the responses of residents living in the housing complex. If we look at SNI-03-1733-2004 regarding the procedures for environmental planning in urban housing, the livability level of Tualang Regency Housing is below the standard due to several eligibility factors that do not meet the required standards. These include the physical condition of the housing, the absence of ventilation that should be present for air circulation in the homes, drainage systems that are not connected to the final disposal site, pothole-ridden roads, and several waste disposal areas that are.still.inadequate.
