Abstract
The approach used in this study is qualitative. The research informants were five people, consisting of men and women who experienced violence in dating. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that victims experience various forms of violence, namely: Verbal Abuse: Harsh words, swearing, threats, and digital communication controls such as checking social media and conversation applications. Financial Abuse: Spouses force victims to give money or pay debts that are used for gambling and lifestyle. Physical Abuse: Acts of physical violence such as beatings, coffins, and bites. The study also found that there is a cycle of violence consisting of tension building, explosion, and honeymoon, where the perpetrator promises to change, making it difficult for the victim to break away from the relationship. Interpersonal communication between the victim and the perpetrator is characterized by possessive attitudes, excessive jealousy, lack of trust, and control over the victim's life. This study concludes that violence in dating relationships can happen to anyone, regardless of gender. Psychological, economic, and poor communication factors are the main reasons why victims survive in unhealthy relationships.
