Abstract
The teaching of biology serves as a means to enhance knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values, as well as responsibility towards the environment. One of the activities that applies the scientific method in biology education is through laboratory work. Laboratory activities fall under the experimental learning method, providing direct experiences to participants related to learning theories. Laboratories serve as an excellent tool for developing scientific process skills. A study conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Rengat aimed to identify the difficulties experienced by students during the implementation of biology laboratory activities in the 11th-grade class at SMA Negeri 1 Rengat. The research was conducted from February to July 2023. The survey method was employed using a questionnaire as the instrument. The study used a saturated sample with a population of 108 11th-grade science students. Data analysis in this study employed the percentage technique. The results indicated that the implementation of laboratory activities at SMA N 1 Rengat had a work stage indicator of 97.51%, categorized as very good, a closing stage indicator of 68.71%, categorized as good, with an overall average percentage of 83.09%, categorized as good
