Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between interest in learning and mathematics learning outcomes after implementing LKPD based on engklek ethnomathematics in class VIII SMP PGRI Pekanbaru. The type of research used is correlational research. The subjects in this research were class VIII students at PGRI Pekanbaru Middle School, consisting of 21 people. The research instruments used were questionnaires and post tests which had been validated. Test the validity of the research instrument using ANATES Software Version 4.0.5. The data analysis technique uses frequency analysis to measure students' interest in learning, product moment correlation analysis to measure the correlation between interest in learning and learning outcomes, and analysis of the coefficient of determination to determine the magnitude of the influence of interest in learning on student learning outcomes. The results of the research show that the interest in learning of class VIII students at SMP PGRI is 75,39% which is in the high category. The average student learning outcomes, namely 80,38%, are in the medium category. The results of the product moment correlation analysis show that there is a significant relationship between interest in learning and mathematics learning outcomes for class VIII students at PGRI Pekanbaru Middle School, namely 0.793. The contribution of learning interest to mathematics learning outcomes is 62,88%, this means that there are 37,12% of other factors that can influence mathematics learning outcomes.
