Abstract

Occupational safety is an aspect of safety related to worker work activities which includes the manufacturing sector such as equipment, machinery, material management, high pressure tanks, work tools, aspects of the place and the surrounding work environment and the methods used in carrying out work tasks. The research problem that the author raises is how the juridical review of occupational safety and health guarantees in the provision of complete work safety equipment for workers at the Integrated IKM Sago Sentra Sago Flour Factory, Sungai Tohor Village, Meranti Islands Regency and what are the inhibiting factors for the IKM Sentra Sago Flour Factory Sago Terpadu Sungai Tohor Village in providing occupational safety and health guarantees for the provision of complete work security for workers based on Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. The research method used was interviews, namely data collection by asking directly to informants consisting of the Integrated Sago IKM Center Manager, Head of the Small and Medium Cooperatives and Labor Office, Head of the Industry Sector of the Industry and Trade Service, and workers of the IKM Sentra sago flour factory. The results of the study suggest that the implementation of occupational safety and health guarantees for workers in the Integrated Sago IKM Centers has not been carried out properly or has not been maximized according to Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Employment as a form of protection while working for workers in the Integrated Sago IKM Centers, as well there are still many inhibiting factors for the Sago Integrated IKM Center to achieve the goal of a safe work environment with the presence of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as the inhibiting factors namely social factors, regional location factors distribution factors, awareness factors and cooperation factors.
