Abstract
A boiler or steam boiler is a closed combustion process where the heat energy produced from combustion is transferred to the air until hot air is formed which becomes steam and is used as work energy. The aim of this research is to find out and obtain the influance of the percentage of acacia tree bark fuel and empty palm bunch fibesr on boiler performance and to obtain the effect of the mixture percentage of acacia tree bark fuel and empty palm bunch fiber on boiler performance the best. The research method consists of collecting data using a boiler control panel. The analysis results show that the influance mixture of bark and empty palm bunch fiber has the best performance indicators at a percentage of 90% acacia tree bark and 10% empty palm bunch fiber, which obtains an efficiency of 87.2%. With the lowest fuel consumption of 50,608.4 kg/hour, the heat required for the combustion chamber is 611,827.5 kJ/hour, the heat absorbed in the funace is 611,822,379.5 kJ/hour, the combustion air consumption is 353,165,658, 8 kg.air/kg.bb, the heat required to form saturated steam is 830,893.8 kJ/hour. Therefore, from the research results on the influence of the fuel mixture percentage of 90% acacia bark and 10% empty oil palm fruit bunch fiber, the best boiler performance results were obtained
