Abstract
The application of BIM (Building Information Modelling) in project planning enables early detection of potential clashes between structural systems and other systems. This makes BIM able to anticipate and minimise rework or additional work that can affect the estimated amount of material. The purpose of this research is to analyse the clash or conflict in the structural planning design, find out the difference between the volume calculation of BIM results and conventional, and find out the difference between the volume calculation of BIM results after improvement and before improvement. By using BIM-based software, 3D modelling and volume calculations were carried out using Autodesk Revit and clash analysis was carried out using Autodesk Navisworks. This research uses quantitative methods, namely in the form of DED (Detail Engineering Design) and BOQ (Bill Of Quantity) drawing data obtained from the Planning Consultant. Based on the data obtained through this method, the DED drawings can be modelled into 3D objects using Autodesk Revit software to obtain volume calculations. The resulting 3D modelling from Autodesk Revit software is then exported to Autodesk Navisworks software for clash detection analysis on structural work, as well as volume recalculation after clash repair on the University Building structural work. The results showed a collision (clash) between structural elements in iron material as much as 398 clash between pile cap and column, 2095 clash between column and beam, 2031 clash between beam and beam. The result of concrete volume obtained using Autodesk Revit is 42.94 m³ or 3.42% more efficient than the conventional method calculation. While the results of the volume of reinforcement work using Autodesk Revit resulted in a difference of 16,948.98 Kg or 6.40% more efficient than the conventional method. After clash repair on structural reinforcement, there was a volume change with a difference of 2.04 kg or 0.001% compared to the BIM volume before repair.
