Abstract
PLTU has several main components, including a steam turbine, boiler, condenser and generator. All of these components are integrated into one unit system that works to produce electrical energy. Apart from the condenser, one of the other equipment needed to maintain the PLTU's operations so that it remains optimal is a vacuum pump. Vacuum pumps are useful in the cooling process in condenser systems. The function of the vacuum pump is to maintain the reliability of the condenser's performance. Over time, the vacuum pump will experience damage, whether from engine performance or other factors. One of them is damage to spare parts. One spare part that is prone to damage is the bearing on the vacuum pump. Damage to bearings usually occurs because their age has reached its limit, adjustments are considered less efficient for the lifetime of the bearing. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to calculate the use of spare parts to create a feeling of safety and comfort when using the tool. The purpose of this research is to obtain normal and abnormal vibrations in the vacuum pump, to determine the damage factors in the vacuum pump bearings, and to determine the service life of the bearings in the Tenayan PLTU vacuum pump. This research uses a descriptive method. The research results show that normal vibrations if they have not passed the vibration alarm signal are 0.823 mm/s and the overall value does not exceed the alarm signal, namely 1.767 mm/s and abnormal vibrations show an indication of damage because the amplitude value = 3.580 mm/sec, the amplitude value for this vibration exceeds the limit. The alarm signal determined by the company and from its own vibration spectrum data shows an increase in frequency at 1x Rpm, 2x Rpm, 3x Rpm, and 4x Rpm. The indication factor of damage is caused by grease or lubricating oil for bearings not being provided according to the standards for applying grease to SKF NU 216 EC Vacuum Pump bearings. So far, the bearing life has been around 868 days or 2.37 years
