Abstract

Disputes often arise between workers and employers because they provide workers' rights when they are in a difficult situation. However, in reality there are still many employee rights that have not been granted by employers and workers, namely teaching staff, namely lecturers and staff of the Bangun Insani Foundation in Bengkalis Regency. The main problem in this study is What is the Role of the Mediator in Solving Wage Payment Problems in the Bengkalis Regency Manpower Office? and What are the Inhibiting Factors Against the Role of the Mediator in Solving Wage Payment Problems in the Bengkalis Regency Manpower Office? This research method uses a type of sociological law or survey, namely by going directly to the field. While the nature of this research is descriptive in nature, namely a description of the nature of an individual, condition or other symptoms in the community environment. From the results of research on the role of the mediator in solving wage payment problems within the Bengkalis Regency Manpower Office, it has been carried out well, as evidenced by the existence of a Collective Agreement which has been agreed upon by the disputing parties. The inhibiting factor of the mediator is that workers whose wages have not been paid do not report to the mediator so that their wages have not been completed to date, and also do not provide a power of attorney as a representative so that their wages can be completed, so only 3 people report to the mediator and only those whose wages have been paid by the Bangun Insani Foundation or Bengkalis Sharia College of Economics (STIE).
