Abstract

This research is motivated by the issue that many students at school still feel intimidated by Arabic lessons. This is due to the selection of materials, their sequencing, and the method of presentation not being in accordance with the characteristics of the learners. In Arabic language learning, instructional materials should be designed with consideration of students’ abilities and prior knowledge. Textbooks are a primary educational tool that plays a strategic role in presenting learning material that contributes to the development of Arabic language skills. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the presentation of the Arabic textbook for Grade V Elementary School published by Pustaka Sofwa at Ma’had As-Sakinah. The research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach. The data sources are divided into two types: primary and secondary. The primary data source used in this study is the Arabic textbook for Grade V Elementary School published by Pustaka Sofwa. The secondary sources include several published articles and theses related to the topic under investigation. Based on the researcher’s analysis, it can be concluded that most of the presentation aspects in the Arabic textbook for Grade V published by Pustaka Sofwa meet the indicators of presentation feasibility based on BSNP standards (National Education Standards Board), including presentation techniques, instructional presentation, and completeness of presentation. However, from the perspective of presentation feasibility, several shortcomings were identified: the illustrations are less appealing due to limited color use, there is no introduction section in the book, no accompanying audio materials, the absence of a transliteration list, and an inaccurate bibliography.
