Abstract
Composite is a material formed from a combination of two or more materials that have stronger mechanical properties than the material forming it. Composites consist of two parts, namely the matrix as a binder or composite protector and the filter as a composite filler. Utilizing recycled waste for the manufacture of composite blocks is one alternative to countermeasures for waste such as plastic that almost in every corner of the city we find. This composite block is in the form of a block and is approximately the same size as the brick. The use of plastic waste that is easily recycled, difficult to recycle, or cannot be recycled poses a threat to the environment in many aspects. This study demonstrates the use of plastic waste for the manufacture of composite blocks with sand as a filler in them and acts as ballast in flood conditions.
