Abstract

The Dutch Tangsi Historical Tourist Attraction is a tourist attraction in the form of a heritage building from the Dutch colonial period that has a lot of old history where this building was used as an office and a prison which was then developed again into one of the main destinations in Siak Regency. This research aims to find out how the strategies and hindering factors of the regional government of Siak Regency in the development of Dutch Tangsi tourist attractions. In this study, the method used is qualitative research. The type of data that can be measured directly comes from the results of observation methods, interviews and documentation to find out the reality that happens in the field. In this study, it was concluded that the strategy used by the tourism service has not been implemented to the maximum due to the lack of budget from the government. The strategy used for the development of tangsi belada tourist attractions can be through promotion from mass media or print media. The hindering factor is the lack of supervision carried out by the government towards the development of Dutch tangsi tourist attractions
