Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the duties of the Sub-District Head in coordinating the maintenance of public service infrastructure and facilities at the Pinggir Sub-District Office, Bengkalis Regency, and to find out the inhibiting factors faced in carrying out these duties. The formulation of the problem raised is how the Sub-District Head carries out his duties in coordinating the maintenance of public service infrastructure and facilities at the Pinggir Sub-District Office. The methodology used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The withdrawal of informants and key informants is done through census and purposive sampling techniques, while data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed that the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at the Pinggir Sub-District Office experienced a significant development. Previously, facilities and infrastructure were damaged, unkempt, and lacking in number. However, currently these conditions have been repaired and added with new facilities and infrastructure. Nevertheless, researchers found that the maintenance carried out still requires more attention, especially in terms of preparing a routine maintenance schedule. This is important to ensure
