Abstract
The contract teacher workforce equity program is one of the important efforts to reduce the shortage of contract teachers in local government-owned public schools, including in Kampar Regency. Kampa District was chosen as the focus of the implementation of this program by the Youth and Sports Education Office to overcome the problem of significant teacher needs. The implementation of this program involves various strategies, including strengthening cooperation between sectors as well as increasing education and socialization to contract teachers about improving the quality of human resources, monitoring and adjusting intervention strategies according to identified needs. The type of research used in this study is by using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study show that increasing local government awareness of the equitable distribution of contract teachers such as slow behavior change remains the focus of improvement in maintaining the sustainability of this program. The program for the equitable distribution of contract teachers by the Kampar District Youth and Sports Education Office shows positive progress in efforts to solve the problem of the need for contract teachers. To ensure that the program will be successful in the long term and increase the overall need for contract teachers, the next step is necessary.
