Abstract
Agriculture, especially the fisheries subsector, has an important role in the Indonesian economy. Catfish is a commodity that makes an important contribution to the national economy and is quite popular among the public. This research aims to: (1) Analyze the characteristics of farmer traders and the business profile of pond catfish cultivation, (2) Analyze cultivation techniques, use of production factors, production costs, income and efficiency of tarpaulin pond catfish, (3) Analyze the use of institutions and marketing channels , costs, margins, profit margins, farmer share and marketing efficiency of tarpaulin pond catfish. This research was carried out in Hangtuah Village (Kampung Lele) Perhentian District, Kampar Regency for 6 months from January to July 2023. Data analysis was descriptive qualitative and quantitative, the types and sources of data used in this research were Primary and Secondary Data. The results of the research show that the characteristics of farmers, traders and cultivation business profiles include: average age 41 years, education 9 years, farming experience 6 years, and number of family dependents 3 people. The characteristics of collecting traders are an average age of 40 years, 7 years of business experience, 9 years of education and the number of family dependents is 3 people. characteristics of retailers: average age 40 years, business experience 6 years, education 9 years and number of dependents in the family 2 people. The profile of this tarpaulin pond catfish cultivation business is on one's own land and in carrying out this business one uses one's own capital with initial capital of around Rp. 10,000,000.00 - Rp. 20,000,000.00. According to the research results, the techniques for cultivating catfish in tarpaulin pools of farmers in Hangtuah Village are in accordance with theory, with 3 types of feed, namely PF 1000 pellets with an average total usage of 99 Kg/PP, 781 pellets with an average total usage of 121 Kg/PP and Additional feed Rp. 500,000.00/PP. The use of labor within the family is 25 HKP and labor outside the family is 10,00 HKP. The total cost used on average is around IDR around IDR. 7,265,206.60/PP, the gross income of farmers who run catfish hatchery and rearing businesses is on average Rp. 13,500,000.00/PP. The farmer's net income is Rp. 5,968,293.40 / PP obtained RCR (Revenue Cost Ratio) of 1.81.
