Abstract

To find out the role of Dompet Dhuafa Riau Philanthropy in sustainable development in Riau Province, study goal 1 without poverty can be seen from the growth of poverty in Riau Province, especially in the economic sector. Following the mandate of presidential regulation number 59 and governor regulation number 33 of 2018 concerning sustainable development, known as SDGs. In its implementation, it involves all stakeholders listed in the Governor's Decree Number 1002/VI/2020 concerning the SDGs regional coordinating team in Riau Province. The philanthropy in question is the Dhuafa Wallet. Concept The theory used in this research is Soejono Soekanto (2002, Role). The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collected using observation techniques, interviews and documentation with the triangulation analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the Role of Philanthropy of Dompet Dhuafa Riau in Sustainable Development in Riau Province (Study Goal 1 Without Poverty) has quite a role in reducing the poverty rate in Riau. This is evidenced by mustahik who already have income and are independent with business capital assistance from Dompet Dhuafa Riau.
