Abstract
This research is entitled "The effect of POC fertilizer from pineapple peel waste and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of purple eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.)" The aim of this research is to determine the interaction effect and main influence of POC from pineapple peel waste and NPK Pearls 16:16:16 on the growth and production of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, for 4 months starting from February to May 2023. The design used in this research was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the POC concentration of Pineapple Peel Waste with 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 100, 200, 300 ml per liter of water and the second factor is the dose of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 with 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 3.75, 7.50, 11.25 g per plant so that 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per fruit, and number of remaining fruit. The data was analyzed for variance and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Pineapple Peel Waste POC and Mutiara NPK 16:16:16 was significantly different on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and number of remaining fruit. The best treatment is a combination of Pineapple Peel Waste POC 300 ml/l water and Pearl NPK 11.25 g per plant. The main effect of POC dose from Pineapple Peel Waste was significantly different on all parameters. The best treatment is Pineapple Peel Waste POC 300 ml/l water. The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 is significantly different for all parameters. The best treatment is a dose of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 11.25 g per plant.
