Abstract

This study investigates the influence of competence on job readiness mediated by self-efficacy among prospective graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Riau Islamic University and Riau University. Employing a quantitative approach, the research involved a population of 416 individuals, with a sample size of 87. The findings indicated that competence and self-efficacy significantly impact job readiness among prospective graduates from the institutions above. However, it was observed that competence mediated by selfefficacy, did not exhibit a statistically significant effect on job readiness in this context.
