Abstract

The ability of each female student to memorize the Qur'an varied, necessitating grouping based on their individual capabilities. The implementation of mentor strategies facilitated the identification of issues faced by students in memorizing the Qur'an. One of the non-formal institutions that applied Ta}ifidz Al-Qur'an program was Al-Munawwarah Women's Dormitory at Islamic University ofRiau. Based on the author's research, it was found that some students at the Al-Munawwarah Women's Dormitory still lacked enthusiasm in memorizing the Qur'an and had not met their memorization targets. The research problem addressed in this study was how Tahfidz mentors' strategies improved the Qur'an memorization abilities of female students at the Al-Munawwarah Women's Dormitory, Islamic University of Riau. This study aimed to explore the strategies employed by Tahfidz mentors to enhance the Qur'an memorization skills of female students at the Al-Munawwarah Women's Dormitory, Islamic University of Riau. This research was qualitative in nature. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. After data collection, the data were processed and analysed through data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions as follows: First, mentors established activity schedules. Second, mentors set memorization targets. Third, mentors utilized varied methods. Fourth, mentors provided motivation.
