Abstract
The more the digital platform develops, the more positive and negative things it produces. Digital platforms negatively influence students and encourage deviant behavior by imitating what they see, such as images and videos. Students can access content via Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. To overcome this problem, religious and moral teachers try to prevent the negative impact of social media on student behavior in class X MA Masmur Pekanbaru. This study aims to explain how religious and moral teachers deal with the negative impact of social media on students, find out the difficulties and support of teachers in dealing with the negative impact of social media on students. This research method is a descriptive qualitative study that investigates the phenomenon of digital platforms that have a negative impact on students in class X MA Masmur Pekanbaru In this case, data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation methods, which used data analysis techniques, data reduction, delivery, drawing conclusions or verification, and checking the validity of the data. The results of the study showed that (1) Actions of religious aqidah and moral teachers: Preventive efforts are carried out through the provision of positive activities with an Islamic nuance, such as congregational dhuhur prayers and memorizing books and prayers every day. In addition, religious aqidah and moral teachers provide control to students through sanctions. Curative efforts are carried out by religious aqidah and moral teachers to their students through socialization, advice, cellphone raids, and good habits. (2) Factors that hinder religious aqidah teachers include lack of attention and affection from the family, bad habits in society, and the amount of free time students have to do what they want. Other supporting factors are that teachers, especially religious aqidah and moral teachers, participate in preventing the negative influence of social media, organizing and carrying out positive activities, and providing good examples and examples to their students.
