Abstract

This research was motivated by the designation of Riau Garden Pekanbaru as a Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS Zone) based on the recommendation of KNEKS Number: 372/Dt.4/10/2023 and the Decree of the Governor of Riau Number: KTPS.7508/IX/2023. With Riau Garden Pekanbaru being designated as the first KHAS Zone in Sumatra, it became imperative for all stakeholders in the area to maintain trust and uphold the responsibility entrusted to them. This included owners, managers, and micro-enterprises operating within the zone. The research problem was formulated as follows: What was the level of knowledge of Riau Garden Pekanbaru tenants regarding the Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS Zone)? The objective of this study was to determine the knowledge of Riau Garden Pekanbaru tenants about the Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS Zone). The subjects of this research were the managers of Riau Garden Pekanbaru tenants, while the object was the Survey of Tenant Knowledge about the Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS Zone). This research was classified as field research, employing a quantitative method. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation. Data processing was conducted using preparation, tabulation, and data application techniques. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics with the three-box method. The results of this study indicated that the knowledge of Riau Garden Pekanbaru tenants about the Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary Zone (KHAS Zone) was categorized as "High." This was evident from the assessment criteria, which showed that the average responses of participants across the first to fifteenth indicators ranged from 3.70% to 4.83%.
