Abstract

Wages are compensation given to workers in return for their services and work. This study aims to determine whether there are errors in implementing the wage system for oil palm plantation workers in Labuhan Tangga Baru Village. To achieve the research objectives, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method through primary data obtained from field research. The results of this study indicate that the wage system carried out by the Labuhan Tangga Baru Village community is not fully in line with the Islamic economic perspective. This is because there are several provisions that have not been met, such as contracts that are carried out verbally without written evidence, no witnesses, the wages given have not fully fulfilled the rights of oil palm plantation workers in carrying out the wage system. From the perspective of fiqh muamalah, this is not allowed. Therefore, it is necessary to feel that there is a cooperation agreement that is in accordance with sharia so that there is no misunderstanding between the two parties. Thus, the wage system carried out by the community will be more secure and minimize the occurrence of misunderstandings and unilateral cancellations.
