Abstract

One of the factors that make the productivity of rubber plants to be low is the presence of pest and disease attacks, as well as lack of information and knowledge possessed in the treatment. To solve the problem, need information and general knowledge about pests and diseases of rubber plant from experts in the field of rubber plant. Limitations of experts also become an obstacle in using expert services in the field of rubber plants. To overcome the problem of expert limitations, required a system that applies one of the methods contained in the field of artificial intelligence is the expert system. Expert systems adopt expert knowledge into the computer so that the computer can solve problems like an expert. To that end, built expert system to diagnose pests and diseases of rubber plants using naïve bayes classifier and forward chaining method. The naïve bayes classifier method is one of the methods to provide a certainty value for pests and diseases of rubber plants. While the forward chaining method used as inference engine to draw conclusions from the symptoms - the symptoms are known to the end result of the type of pests and diseases experienced by rubber plants.
