Abstract
This research was carried out with the aim of assessing the impact of a service-based leadership style and interpersonal communication on the level of job satisfaction of Pekanbaru City University academic staff. This study is research based on quantitative methods that uses a descriptive approach. Quantitative methods are approaches used to study a predetermined population and sample and involve random sampling. Data was collected using research instruments. Structural Equation Modeling software based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to analyze the data in this research. The research results show that a leadership style based on service and interpersonal communication has a significant influence on job satisfaction, with work motivation acting as a mediating factor in this relationship.
