Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of workload on performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees at RSUD Petala Bumi Pekanbaru. The sampling technique used in this research is the purposive sampling method. In this case, the researcher selected part of the population as a sample by distributing questionnaires to 101 respondents. The methods used are descriptive analysis and Smart PLS 3.0 analysis. The results of the study indicate that (1) workload has a positive and significant partial effect on performance, (2) workload has a positive and significant partial effect on job satisfaction, (3) performance has a positive and significant partial effect on job satisfaction, and (4) in the indirect test with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, it strengthens the influence of workload on employee performance.
