Abstract

The availability of raw materials for palm oil stick waste for some small and medium industry group (IKM) craftsmen in Rokan Hilir is used to make creative economy products, namely woven crafts such as tissue boxes, tablecloths and even palm tree stick bags. This research aims to determine and analyze: (1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles (2) Analysis of the agro-industry for palm oil stick tissue, (3) Marketing analysis for palm oil stick tissue. The research method is a case study on IKM Rumah Tamadun which is located in Bagan Kota Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This research was conducted for 6 (six) months starting from April-September 2023. Respondents were 1 entrepreneur, 12 workers and 2 traders, using primary data and secondary data, the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this research are: (1) Characteristics with an average age of 33 years, elementary school education level, 6 years of business experience as an entrepreneur and 3 years of labor, the number of dependents in the entrepreneur's family is 3 people. The business is classified as small scale with capital sourced from personal capital and a workforce of 12 people. (2) Production costs are Rp. 357,786/production process, production of 10 units of tissue holders, gross income Rp. 1,100,000/production process, net income of Rp. 742,214/production process, RCR value of 3.07, and added value of Rp. 84,000 with a value added ratio of 76.36%, (3) Marketing institutions consist of traders and consumers. The marketing channels used consist of channel I: entrepreneurs sell to traders and then traders sell back to final consumers. Meanwhile, in channel II, entrepreneurs sell directly to final consumers. Marketing costs in marketing channel I are Rp. 790.00/unit and on channel II it is Rp. 762.50/unit. The marketing margin in marketing channel I is IDR. 15,000, while in marketing channel II it is IDR. 10,000 In marketing channel I, the marketing efficiency value was 0.79%, while in channel II it was 0.69%.
