Abstract
Pak Haji's tempeh agroindustry is one of the businesses engaged in the tempeh manufacturing business. This research aims to: (1) Analyze the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles; (2) Analyzing the use of production factors, use of production technology and production processes; (3) Analyze production costs, income and business efficiency; (4) Analyze the added value generated in the agro-industrial business at Pak Haji's tempe house; (5) Analyze the agro-industrial business development strategy at Pak Haji's tempe house. The research method used is the case study method. Pak Haji's tempeh agro-industry business is located at Jalan Kuantan IV, Tanjung Rhu Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The research was carried out for 6 (six) months from January to June 2024. Respondents were taken by census in the amount of 8 (people), consisting of 1 (one) entrepreneur and 7 (seven) workers. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data. The research objectives were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, added value analysis using the Hayami method, and SWOT analysis. The research results show that (1) the average age of entrepreneurs and workers is 31.87 years. The average length of education for entrepreneurs and workers is 10.50 years. The average business experience of entrepreneurs and workers is 5 years, the average family responsibility of entrepreneurs and workers is 1.75 (persons). The scale of the agro-industrial business at Rumah Tempe Pak Haji is a small business. Capital used Rp. 2,000,000. (2) use of production factors from soybeans as much as 200 kg/production process, supporting materials consisting of 2 packs of yeast/1 kg for several production times, 12 kg LPG gas/production process, 1150 pieces of plastic packaging/production process, and as many workers as 2.39 HOK/production process, Technology in tempeh production uses semi-modern technology. Pak Haji's agro-industrial tempeh production process consists of 6 stages, namely: boiling, grinding, filtering, washing, weighing and packaging, pressing. (3) Total production costs IDR 3,715,697.41/production process, total production 337.5 kg and 1150 tempeh, gross income IDR 6,800,000/production process, net income IDR 3,084,302.59. The RCR is IDR 1.83, so Pak Haji's tempe house agroindustry is profitable. (4) The added value obtained from managing every 1 kg of soybeans into tempeh is worth IDR 16,541, or with a ratio of added value of 48.57 to product value (5) Based on the results of the SWOT matrix analysis, the strategy obtained is: The S-O strategy is to maintain quality by using quality raw materials and product continuity to gain new consumers at affordable prices and take advantage of the broad market opportunities and the large number of tempeh enthusiasts.
