Abstract

One concrete example of climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts is the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM). This study focuses on determining the effectiveness of the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM) in Dusun Barat, Makmur Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency and on determining the inhibiting factors in the effectiveness of the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM) in Dusun Barat, Makmur Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Key informants and informants in this study were the Head of the Pollution and Environmental Damage Control Division, Functional Staff, Implementing Staff, Regional Coordinator of the PT.RAPP Climate Village Program, Head of the Timbul Jaya Farmers Group and Members of the Timbul Jaya Farmers Group. The technique for drawing key informants and informants in this study used Snowball Sampling. The results of this study indicate that the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM) in Dusun Barat, Makmur Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency is quite effective. Because there are several obstacles including limited resources and funding, lack of awareness and community participation in understanding the importance of climate change, the absence of criteria for targeting people who are more deserving of training programs and the lack of a facilitator's role in monitoring, supervising and evaluating the implementation of the climate village program implemented by the Awak Jaya farmer group.
