Abstract
Research with the title "The Effect of Various Ameliorants and NPK Fertilizers 16:16:16 On the Growth and Production of Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) on PMK Soil Media" has been implemented in the Garden Experiment at Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, for 3 months starting from June until August 2023. This research aims to determine the effect interactions and main effects of providing various ameliorants and NPK fertilizers 16:16:16 on the growth and production of shallots. This research using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dosage of various Ameliorants which consists of 4 levels treatment, namely: 0.2 kg/plot rice husk charcoal, 2 kg/plot coconut husk ash palm oil and 2 kg/plot of cow manure. The second factor is the dose of NPK 16:16:16 which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 20, 40 and 60 g/plot. Every treatment consisted of 3 replications so there were 48 experimental units. Parameters that Observed were plant height, number of leaves, harvest age, number of tubers, weight tuber wetness, tuber dry weight, tuber weight loss and tuber grade. Data analyzed statistically and continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) at level 5%. The interactions between various Ameliorants and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizers are significantly different on plant height, number of leaves, plant wet weight, dry weight plants and loss of plant tuber weight. The best combination of treatments exists in the A3N2 treatment, namely various Ameliorants 2 kg/plot and NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 40 g/plot. The major influence of Various Ameliorans is evident on all Observation parameters with the best treatment were 2 kg/plot. The main influence of fertilizer NPK 16:16:16 is significant for all observation parameters with treatment best 40 g/plot.
