Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership on employee engagement and employee performance at PT. Subur Indah Lestari Pekanbaru. A quantitative approach was employed using a census method involving 60 employees. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Furthermore, leadership also positively and significantly influences employee performance. Employee engagement was also found to positively affect performance improvement. These findings suggest that effective leadership can foster emotional attachment between employees and the organization, ultimately enhancing performance outcomes. The study highlights the critical role of leaders in creating a supportive work environment and promoting both emotional and professional involvement of employees in achieving organizational goals. It is expected that this research can serve as a reference for companies in managing human resources optimally, as well as for future researchers to further explore similar topics.
