Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction effect and main influence of pineapple peel POC and Phonska NPK on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedlings in pre-nursery on PMK soil. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Air Uang Ujung, Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for 4 months from March to June 2023. This research used a Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the POC of pineapple skin consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 25, 50 and 75 ml/l water. The second factor is Phonska NPK consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 2.24, 4.50, and 6.76 g/polybag. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaf sheaths, length of the longest leaf sheath, stem diameter, leaf color and chlorophyll content. The observation data was analyzed statistically and carried out with the Advanced Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of the research showed that the interaction between giving pineapple peel POC and Phonska NPK had a real effect on plant height and the length of the longest leaf midrib. The best treatment is a combination of pineapple peel POC 75 ml/l water and NPK Phonska 6.76 g/polybag. The main effect of pineapple peel POC was significant on all observation parameters. The best POC treatment for pineapple skin is 75 ml/l water. The main effect of NPK Phonska is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is NPK Phonska 6.76 g/polybag.
