Abstract
Sucker rod pump is an artificial lift that is used to lift oil from the well to the surface, where to lift oil from the well to the surface a pump with a rod is used. In the sucker rod pump, there are several subsurface pump problems that interfere with pump performance, such as fluid pound, leakage traveling valve, leakage standing valve, tapping down, high friction, gas interference and gas locks. One way to find out the problems that occur in the sucker rod pump equipment below the surface is by using a dynamometer. The results of the dynagraph were analyzed using total well management software. Total well management is software or software used as a well analyzer to obtain data for the purposes of analyzing well performance and pump performance. Well X is a shallow well so that it is easy to get sandy and has a high oil viscosity of 14 cp. With high oil viscosity it will carry sand or other solids during production. The presence of sand carried away during production can cause problems with the SRP pump below the surface. One of the things that often happens to the SRP pump in well X is the leakage traveling valve. From the dynamometer results, on the pump card, it is found that the card is rounded at the top which indicates that there has been a leak in the traveling valve. The traveling valve leaks when it is in the upstroke position, where in that position the traveling valve should be closed so that the fluid moves upwards but due to the traveling valve a leak occurs causing the fluid to return to the pump. Meanwhile, based on the results of the valve test on the traveling valve analysis, the load line is not flat but decreases, which indicates a decrease in load on the polished rod. The decrease in the load of the polished rod was due to a leak in the traveling valve. The leakage rate is indicated by changes in the load on the polished rod. From the dynacard on the traveling valve it was found that the traveling valve had a leak of 1.6 BBL / D. To reduce leaks in the traveling valve, increase the speed of the sucker rod pump, from 9.7 spm to 9.9 spm and leakage decreased from 1.6 BPD to 0.1 BPD.
