Abstract
This research is entitled "The effect of POC rice washing water and silica fertilizer on the growth and production of celery plants (Apium graveolens L.)". The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru city, which was carried out in May 2023. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of POC Rice Washing Water and Silica Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Celery plants (Apium graveolens L.). This research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Rice Washing Water POC consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 30, 60, 90% concentration on plants and the second factor is Silica Fertilizer, namely 0, 6, 12, 18 g/liter of water on plants. The parameters observed were relative growth rate, plant height, number of leaf midribs, number of tillers, fresh weight per plant, dry weight of the plant, root volume. The observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with the test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The research results showed that the interaction of POC Rice Washing Water and Silica Fertilizer had a significant effect on relative growth rate, plant height, number of leaf sheaths, number of tillers, plant dry weight and root volume but had no significant effect on plant fresh weight. The best treatment is a combination of POC Rice Washing Water with a concentration of 90% and Silica Fertilizer 18 g/l of plants. The main effect of POC Rice Washing Water and Silica Fertilizer was significant on plant height, number of leaf sheaths, number of tillers, total wet weight of plants and total dry weight. The best treatment is a combination of POC Rice Washing Water with a concentration of 90% and Silica Fertilizer 18 g/l of plants.
