Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of various interactions types of mulch and fertilizer NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 on growth and Edamame soybean production. Research has been carried out in experimental gardens Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. Carried out for 4 months from December 2022 to March 2023. This research uses Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is of various types Mulch (M) consists of 4 levels, namely without mulch, rice straw, reeds, and silver black plastic. The second factor of Mutiara NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 (N) consists of 4 levels namely 0, 1.2, 2.4, 3.6 g per crop. The parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, weight of fresh pods per plant, number of fresh pods planting, number of pithy pods, dry seed weight per planting, weight of 100 seeds dry. The observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with further BNJ testing at the 5% level. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it can be it was concluded that the interaction of various types of Mulch and Mutiara NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 has a real influence on the parameters of plant height and age flowering, maturity, weight of fresh pods per plant, number of fresh pods planting, number of pithy pods, dry seed weight per planting, weight of 100 seeds dry. The best treatment combination is silver black plastic mulch and NPK Pearl 16:16:16 with a dose of 3.6 g per planting. The main influences of various types mulch and Mutiara NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 have a real effect on everyone parameter. The best treatment is silver black plastic mulch and a dose of fertilizer NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 3.6 g cropping.
