Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main concentration of natural ZPT bamboo shoot extract and NPK fertilizer dose 16:16:16 on the growth of liberica meranti coffee seedlings (Coffea liberica L.). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted from March 2024 to June 2024. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is the concentration of natural ZPT bamboo shoot extract consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely without treatment, 100, 200, and 300 ml/liter of water and the second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely without treatment, 4, 8 and 12 g/seedling, so that there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. The parameters observed were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, widest leaf area, root volume, wet weight of coffee seedlings, dry weight of coffee seedlings. Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ test at 5% level. The results of the study showed that the interaction and main effect of the concentration of natural ZPT bamboo shoot extract and the dose of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, widest leaf area, root volume, wet weight of coffee seedlings, dry weight of coffee seedlings. The best treatment was in the combination of natural ZPT concentration of bamboo shoot extract 300 ml/liter of water and NPK fertilizer dose 16:16:16 12 g/seedling.
