Abstract

Research entitled "The Effect of Ketapang Leaf POC and NPK 16:16:16 on the Production of Gambas Plants (Luffa acutangula L.)", was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau from September to December 2022. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of interactions liquid organic fertilizer from ketapang leaves and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth of gambas plants. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor is Ketapang Leaf POC which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 45, 90 and 135 ml/l Ketapang Leaf POC water. The second factor is NPK 16:16:16 which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 3, 6 and 9 g/plant of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plot, fruit weight per plot, fruit weight per fruit, length of the longest fruit, and number of remaining fruit. The data was analyzed statistically and continued with the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the effect of the interaction of organic liquid fertilizer (POC) ketapang leaves and NPK 16:16:16 was significant on the parameters of flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plot, fruit weight per plot, fruit weight per fruit, longest fruit length, number of fruit remainder. Ketapang leaf liquid organic fertilizer (POC) had a significant effect on all observation parameters with the best Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) concentration at 90 ml/l of water. The effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all observation parameters with NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer at a dose of 6 g/plant.
