Abstract

The study entitled "The Effect of POC Nasa and Rice Husk Charcoal on the Growth and Production of Red Chili (Capsicum annum L.)" aims to determine the effect of the interaction of POC Nasa and Rice Husk Charcoal on the growth and production of red chili. This study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, starting from December 2023 to March 2024. The study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is POC Nasa (P) which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 6, 8, 10 ml per liter of water. and the second factor is rice husk charcoal (A) which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 100, 150, 200 grams per polybag, so that there are 16 treatment combinations. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per fruit, number of remaining fruits. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with an honest significant difference test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was concluded that the interaction of POC Nasa and rice husk charcoal was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was a POC Nasa concentration of 10 ml/liter of water and a dose of rice husk charcoal of 200 grams/polybag. The main effect of POC Nasa concentration was significant on all observation parameters. And the best treatment was a concentration of 10 ml/liter of water. The main effect of the dose of rice husk charcoal was significant on all observation parameters. And the best treatment was a dose of 200 grams/polybag
