Abstract

Research entitled "Application of Banana Peel Bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 Fertilizer on the Growth of Cocoa Seedlings (Theobroma cacao L.)". This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, for 5 months, starting from October 2022 to February 2023. The aim of the research was to determine the interaction effect and main influence of Banana Peel Bokashi and NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 on the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research used a 4x4 factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, namely the Banana Peel Bokashi factor with 4 treatment levels of 0 g/plant, 17.37 g/plant, 34.75 g/plant, and 52.12 g/plant. plants and NPK fertilizer factor 16:16:16 with 4 treatment levels of 0 g/plant, 4 g/plant, 8 g/plant, and 12 g/plant. The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, largest leaf area, number of leaves, root volume and number of roots. Data from observations for each treatment were analyzed statistically and continued with a further Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that: The interaction of Banana Peel Bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 Fertilizer has an effect on plant height, stem diameter, largest leaf area, number of leaves, root volume and number of roots. The best treatment is a combination of Bokashi Banana Peel 52.12 g/plant and NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 12 g/plant. The main effect of Banana Peel Bokashi was significant on all observed parameters with the best treatment being a dose of 52.12 g/plant. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all observed parameters with the best treatment being a dose of 12 g/plant.
