Abstract
Research entitled the effect of various organic fertilizers and intensity shade on the growth of porang (Amorphophallus onchophyllus) seedlings prain.). This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University, for 4 months starting November 2022 until February 2023. The aim of the research is to determine interactions provision of various organic fertilizers and shade intensity on growth porang seeds (Amorphophallus onchophyllus Prain). This research uses Divided Plot Design (RPT) which consists of two factors. First factor as the main plot is shade intensity (N) with 4 treatment levels. The second factor is organic fertilizer as a subplot (K) with 4 levels treatment. Where each treatment consists of 3 replications so that 48 are obtained experimental unit. Each experimental unit consists of 4 plants and 2 of them were used as sample plants, so that 192 plants were obtained. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, canopy width, stem diameter, number of frog tubers, tuber weight, tuber diameter. observation data statistically analyzed and a BNJ test at 5% level was carried out. Research result shows that the interaction and main influence of various fertilizers organic and real shade intensity on porang plant height parameters, canopy width, stem diameter, number of frog tubers, tuber weight. The best treatment there is a shade intensity of 50% and vermicompost fertilizer 500 g/plant. Influence main real shade intensity against all parameters. The best treatment at 50% shade intensity. The main effect of various organic fertilizers is real on the parameters of plant height, canopy width, stem diameter, number of tubers frog, tuber weight, and tuber diameter. However, it has no real effect on leaf number parameters. The best treatment is vermicompost 500 fertilizer g/plant.
