Abstract

This research was carried out in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113 Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. This research was carried out for 3 months starting from July to September 2022. The aim of this research is to determine the interaction of salt stress and water stress in soybean plants. The design used in this research was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was Salt (Factor G) and the second factor was Water (Factor A). The administration of salt consisted of 4 levels and water consisted of 4 levels so that there were 16 combinations with 3 replications, so there were 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 8 plants and 2 plants were samples. The number of observations used in this research was 288 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that: The interaction of salt and water has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment is without salt and a water concentration of 1.5 L/polybag (G0A3). The main effect of salt was significant on all observation parameters, where the best treatment was without salt (G0). The main effect of real water concentration on all observation parameters. The best treatment is a concentration of 1.5 L/polybag (A3).
