Abstract

Research on the effect of TKKS compost and dolomite on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) seedlings in Pre Nursery on PMK Soil. This research aims to determine the interaction and main influence of TKKS and Dolomite compost on the growth of pre-nursery oil palm seedlings on PMK soil. This research was carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Air Cool. Air Cool Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for 4 months from September to December 2023. This research used a completely randomized factorial design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the TKKS compost dose consisting of 4 levels, namely 0; 60; 120 and 180 g per polybag and the second factor is dolomite with 4 levels, namely 0; 12; 24; and 36 g per polybag. The parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, longest leaf length, stem diameter, plant wet weight and plant dry weight. The observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with a further BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between TKKS compost and dolomite treatment was significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment was found at a dose of TKKS compost of 180 g/polybag and dolomite of 36 g/polybag. The main effect of providing TKKS compost was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is found at a TKKS compost dose of 180 g/polybag. The main effect of giving dolomoite was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment is at a dolomite dose of 36 g/polybag.
