Abstract

Oil from JS field is classified into heavy oil, so the problem that often occurs in wells J#61, J#71 and J#16 is very small production because oil is difficult to flow into the wellbore due to high oil viscosity. To reduce the oil viscosity in the well, hot water is injected through the annulus of the production well. With the decline in the value of oil viscosity, oil production is expected to increase. The method for analyzing oil viscosity values using calculations, while the well production rate is analyzed using calculations and also based on the results of well testing. The results of J#61 well oil viscosity calculation after heating the wellbore decreased from 157 cp to 29 cp, production increased from 6.8 BOPD to 34 BOPD, the increase in J#61 well production based on this calculation was strengthened by the results of well testing using AWT facilities which was 35.2 BOPD. The results of the calculation of J#71 well oil viscosity after heating the wellbore decreased from 157 cp to 29 cp, production increased from 14.4 BOPD to 58 BOPD, the increase in J#71 well production based on this calculation was reinforced by the results of well testing using AWT facilities which was 56 BOPD. The results of J#16 well oil viscosity calculation after heating the wellbore decreased from 157 cp to 29 cp, production increased from 4.8 BOPD to 33 BOPD, the increase in J#16 well production based on this calculation was strengthened by the results of well testing using the AWT facility which was 36.8 BOPD. From the results obtained can be seen hot water injection can reduce oil viscosity and increase oil production.
