Abstract

Soeman HS Library is one of the national libraries and archives storage with the status of a provincial library. In order to increase public visits, the library always makes promotions such as activities and interesting information on social media and websites. However, this method is common and less interactive, so the author proposes to make a promotion by utilizing virtual tour technology to bring the history of the Soeman HS Library to life. With virtual tour technology, people can see the shape of the room and facilities in the Soeman HS Library in 3D without having to visit the place directly. Therefore, this study aims to develop a virtual tour as an interactive media that not only introduces library facilities but also helps visitors navigate the location of book collections digitally and bring history to life through reliefs. The final result of making this application is a virtual tour media at the Soeman HS Library that displays the outside and inside environment of the library to provide information on what facilities have been provided for visitors. This study uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. This virtual tour application was developed with Unity on the Android operating system. This study uses black box testing and the results of the application testing work well. Then the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) test with 8 questions and 18 respondents got a presentation value of 90.2% which means it is in the SS (Strongly Agree) category because its position is at 81% - 100%.
